Questions & Answers
Why is cement particularly difficult to load and unload from bulk trailers?
Cement is an extremely fine, low-density powder that aerates easily during handling. This makes it prone to uneven settling during loading — leaving air pockets that reduce trailer fill — and to clinging to trailer walls and floors during unloading. Recent changes in cement formulation to reduce CO₂ emissions have made the product even finer, compounding both challenges.
