Questions & Answers
How does vibration prevent mesh blinding and clogging during sieving?
Mesh blinding occurs when particles become lodged in screen openings, reducing flow and separation efficiency. Vibratory sieving counters this by keeping particles in constant motion — vertical vibrations lift particles off the mesh surface, horizontal vibrations move material across the screen, and rotational vibrations create a spiral path that increases particle-to-opening contact. The result is continuous, unobstructed material flow through the screen.
