Manufacturing

industrial vibratorsIn plant operations, industrial vibration is an essential tool that helps plant managers achieve their highest priority: moving as much quality product as they can for the lowest possible cost. With dozens of types of vibrators and hundreds of models, vibration can maximize process efficiency, increase capacity, improve product quality and reduce costs associated with shipping and worker safety.

In operations where parts are frequently unloaded from bins and hoppers, vibration easily breaks up entanglements that build up in the outlet opening or containers. This is far more effective than alternative methods, including striking the side of the container with a hammer, which can cause damage.

From a product quality perspective, industrial vibrators are critical for shock testing the tolerance of products and packaging for durability in use and when being shipped. Because the motion of the vibration equipment can be adjusted to precise frequencies and amplitudes, it’s possible to simulate specific levels of impact and determine at what point damage occurs. Plus, many parts and products require heat treating to harden the metal, increasing wear resistance. Vibration can maximize the efficiency of this process.

Throughout the production line, vibration is a superior means of moving parts. By placing the equipment at strategic trouble points, such as on corners, industrial vibrators can prevent parts from getting stuck on the rails. Vibratory feeders are also an effective way to remove scrap generated in both conventional stamping and die-stamping processes.

Finally, compacting materials, parts or products with vibration before shipping reduces shipping volume, often by 10 to 15 percent. This saves a substantial amount of money on the cost of shipping product to your customer.

At Martin® Vibration Systems, we have hundreds of products that fulfill a wide range of needs and budget requirements. We’re happy to discuss your operation’s processes and help you determine which product will maximize efficiency and save you money.
