Martin Vibration Systems designs PKL Impactors to generate individual blows similar to that of a hammer. The impact provides high acceleration and the exact force required to move sticky or clinging materials from storage vessel walls. The impacts per minute are variable between 10 and 60, without the use of a timing device. The controllability of the units ensures the right force to do the job, reducing noise, energy costs, and bin damage.

Millions of workers are exposed to potentially damaging nois in the workplace each year. According to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, about 30,000,000 US workers are affected.
One way to tackle the noise problem is to replace old vibrators with Martin Vibrations System’s pneumatic turbine vibrators. Our silent turbine vibrators may have a higher initial price than ball and piston vibrators, but cost less in the long run to operate and maintain.
Our vibrators eliminate or reduce noise, reduce the need for constant worker monitoring, and operate well below the threshold for sound under the Hearing Conservation Amendment.

The compaction table industry is alive and well at Martin Engineering. This past year there were three major size compaction tables built, tested, and shipped to different parts of the country.
First, the table of great weight, 4,000 lbs load capacity, was required by the Denver Mint. The requirement was to compact blanks in tote bins. No big deal until we reviewed the table requirements, which called for a chain-pulled cart to run under the table, thus, requiring a special frame to support the load. Then the top had to have a special guide to position the tote bin. This configuration upset the natural balance of the table top, which required a special sized air bag to lift and clean the chain-pulled cart and support the load during compaction. Electric vibrators were chosen to move the parts within the tote bins.
The second compaction table was a special in its small size, 24 x 24 square, to compact a 250 lbs. load. The compaction required an NTK55. A minimal height of the table was required; thus, the smallest lift and diameter air bags were used. An air control unit was installed to provide air at the required pressure to operate the vibrator and lift the load for vibration. Mission accomplished. The Unit shipped to our customer and then to the final installation overseas.
The third was the Grand-Daddy of Martin Engineering’s Vibratory Tables to date: three sections tied together to work in unison to compact a special molded part for Boeing Aircraft Company. The top was ground for a special finish. The welded construction had to support loads up to 3,000 lbs with minimum deflection of .0017 per section and have the capability of leveling each section independently. Again a special control panel was designed to operate the vibrators to compact the load within the special mold, which was bolted to the table top. A special passageway through the frameworks had to be provided for maintenance on the motors and weight adjustments for different frequencies of different loads.
At Martin Engineering we can assist you in developing a compaction table to suit your customer’s needs. Please send your request for our technical support people to review and advise the best means to solve a compaction challenge.

Electric vibrators solve material flow of bulk materials through any size bin, hopper or chute. They are virtually silent and are long lasting providing many years of service under the toughest conditions. Even though electric vibrators are more costly then pneumatic vibrators, they operate with nearly no maintenance costs and save your more money in the long run.

Want a more quiet and energy efficient solution for applications requiring vibration? The Martin Wedgie Portable Mounting Vibrator patented inner surface is coated with a space age plastic that transfers vibration and absorbs the noise.
It’s Quiet – noise levels are well below regulatory limits and its special mounting shoe reduces noise.
Easy to Remove – Its portable, the vibrator assembly slides on and off the molded shoe.
Sanitary – Its stainless steel design sheds materials easily and won’t flake off.
Martin Vibrations Systems offers three vibrator types; lube free, non-impacting and single impacting for a hammer like blow.

Martin Vibration compaction tables improve production time by quickly settling material. Vibrating tables allow more material to flow into smaller containers therefore less air in packaging. They reduce overflow and spillover waste at filling stations. Use any of our standard tables or we can custom build one for you to fit any production configuration.

Self dumping hoppers are an invaluable machine for several different industries.Â
At construction sites, where wood and steel off cuts, empty cement bags and other rubble that collects rapidly. There is no easier way to clear the working area fast than with a hopper. If it also has casters attached, it can be rolled from area to area, making cleanup that much easier.
Another industry where hoppers are vital to production is food service. The food service industry produces large volumes of organic waste. Self dumping hoppers are perfect for the waste storage. They are seamless and watertight, no leakage and the lid eliminates unpleasant odors.
Self dumping hoppers are also ideal for those situations when large volumes of small parts or other materials make transport with lift truck forks impractical or impossible. They are not only economical and versatile but a vital part  of any industrial setting.

There are several reasons why a concrete vibrator is important.. Concrete vibrators are not used only to consolidate the concrete for maximum density, but they also internally blend the different lifts of concrete together into a single solid mass with few to no air pockets and no lift lines on the finished exposed surface. Improper consolidation of concrete can cause product defects, compromise the concrete strength, and produce surface blemishes such as bug holes and honeycombing.
Concrete vibrators range in size from small battery-powered to much larger plug-in versions that be used on very deep pours. A concrete vibrator should reach the bottom of the pouring forms to ensure an even treatment of the entire concrete pour. Attachments for the concrete vibrator are selected on the basis of the depth of the pour and the type of concrete being used. The goal in using a concrete vibrator is to build a strong matrix of material that will withstand years of use.
