Lengthen Equipment Lifetime

In most plants, the equipment that managers are responsible for is worth millions – sometimes tens of millions – of dollars. Not exactly the kind of equipment you want to bang randomly with a hammer.

Yet, in plants around the world, that’s exactly what happens every day. When a bulk solids container gets stuck, a worker takes a hammer or mallet and strikes the container to loosen the product and keep it flowing.

While this may sometimes work, it’s risky. Hitting the side of a metal container with a steel hammer is a jarring, even violent, action. Done repetitively over time, those hammer blows can weaken welds and rivets, dent the equipment, and damage electrical connections, which means the equipment has to be replaced or repaired frequently.

A bin vibrator or hopper vibrator, when applied properly, is gentle on equipment so it lasts longer. The frequency and amplitude of the vibration motion is adjustable, so you can apply only as much force as is needed. Plus, we offer portable industrial vibrators that attach with suction in just a few minutes, so they can be moved from one container to another quickly and easily.

At Martin® Vibration Systems, we have hundreds of products that fulfill a wide range of needs. We’re happy to discuss your operation’s needs and help you determine which product can help you streamline your process and reduce your costs.
